You need a very small space of 3 to 4 square feet in your garden. The compost bin can be placed next to your garden shed. The base of the composter shall be based directly on the ground. The rainwater must not fall directly on your composter. It should preferably be placed in an inconspicuous area. You can make your own composter or buy one from your garden center. Composters from the commerce are usually in plastic. They are very easy to maintain.
