How to get beautiful African violets - Fertilization

It is best to fertilize the Saintpaulia every watering. You will use 25% of the  recommended  dose on the package. Liquid or soluble fertilizers are great for African violets. They are easily and quickly assimilated by the plant. During the growing season, use the 20-20-20. During flowering, use the 15-30-15. When comes  the dormancy period   gives to the plant only water with no fertilizer. You will not fertilize the plants during their dormancy  or when they are sick.

The first number indicates a nitrogen fertilizer. The second shows the phosphorus and the third is the potash . 15-30-10 For example, the "15" means 15% by weight of nitrogen. The "30" means 30% by weight of phosphorus and the "10" means 10% by weight of potash.
