The meeting with the old man

The meeting with the Druid

Darkness has completely enveloped the forest for a good hour already. Jack sees a wood fire glowing in the distance. He approaches slowly so as not to be seen. There is a old man standing  in front of the burning wood. He  is brewing some sort of potion. What Jack doesn't know is that the old man is a mean and ruthless being. He knows  that Jack has been watching him for a while. This man has incredible evil powers.

Suddenly, a searing pain shoots through Jack's body. He doesn't understand what is happening to him. He is unable to move his limbs. After a few minutes, the evil being said to Jack : "Your body and soul are now part of this oak tree. You will be able to live on the condition that as long as this tree remains standing. It will be possible for you to speak. However, your voice will be very quiet. People will only be able to hear you near the tree.

Jack does not realize what is happening to him. He doesn't think of himself. He tries to explain to the evil d

old man that he has to take the herbs to the nearby village to save a little girl. The druid laughs. Poor Jack! I made this whole thing up. Look closely. The old man was me. There is no one to save. I needed a good soul to fuse it to the wood of this tree. My power is now considerable. Thanks to you!

The insensitive being left Jack to himself in the middle of the forest.
