Gil Perez mounts the guard

The death of the seventh Governor of the Philippines Gómez Pérez Dasmariñas October 25, 1593 had forced the governor's palace guards "Del Gobernador" to remain in post until the appointment of a new governor. Gil Perez was one of the guards posted on sentry duty outside the palace. He is part of the Filipino Civil Guard. He is very tired. He decides to lean on the wall to rest a moment and he closes his eyes.
